At just 2-years-old, Cruise, a handsome Lurcher, arrived at Jerry Green Dog Rescue after spending over a year in kennels. Having never experienced the comforts of a safe, loving home, there was so much to learn about him – so many pieces of his ‘life jigsaw’ to put back together.
Thanks to your generous support, the team were able to work patiently with Cruise, helping him build in confidence and prepare for a world beyond kennels. After 4 months, he moved into a loving foster home, where even more of his personality was revealed, and shortly afterwards, the perfect adopters came along.
Now, Cruise is thriving in his forever home, where he enjoys mastering the lurcher skill of being a true ‘sofa dog’! Stories like Cruise’s are only possible because of the generosity of people like you, who make second chances like his a reality.
