Trustees are volunteers who are responsible for the governance of the organisation; ensuring that the we are working within our core principles to achieve the charity’s long term goals. Our Board of Trustees work together to take overall responsibility for the Charity and are committed to upholding Jerry Green Dog Rescue’s vision, mission and values. We always welcome interest from passionate individuals to join our Board of Trustees. As a Trustee, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of our Charity, ensuring we continue to make a lasting impact on dog welfare.
Claire has been a Trustee at Jerry Green Dog Rescue since 2025, using over 30 years of retail experience and seven years at board level in complex organisations to provide significant senior leadership expertise. As a senior executive, she has led businesses through major transformation, with strengths in communication, influencing, and change management. Her commercial insight supports Jerry Green Dog Rescue’s long-term development.
Motivated by a desire to give back, Claire combines her professional skills with her passion for dog welfare. She encourages others to consider trusteeship, describing it as a rewarding opportunity to grow personally and professionally while making a lasting difference.
Outside JGDR, Claire has volunteered as a respite foster carer and telephone support companion. She and her husband enjoy countryside and have a much-loved rescue Jack Russell, Alie, who they enjoy visiting their favourite dog-friendly pub alongside.
