Our South Lincolnshire centre has been a beacon of hope for rescue dogs since its establishment in 1997, nestled in Algarkirk, Boston.

Providing care and support

Under the dedicated leadership of our Centre Manager, Jo Hickson, and her devoted team strive to ensure that every dog in our care receives the utmost attention and finds their perfect match with loving new owners, setting them on a path toward happy, healthy lives.

Located in a serene rural setting, our South Lincolnshire centre offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, providing both dogs and visitors alike with a peaceful environment, surrounded by the beauty of nature.

With some team members boasting over 20 years of service, we aim to provide a consistently warm and welcoming atmosphere for both our supporters and our dogs. We take immense pride in collaborating with local charitable organisations to extend support and services to owners and their beloved dogs facing challenging times.

Embracing the diversity of our local community, we’re actively working to offer enhanced support to ethnic minority groups, breaking down language barriers and bridging cultural differences to promote positive dog welfare for all.

Facilities

We’re incredibly fortunate to be home to a state-of-the-art training facility, the PawPrint Pavilion, opened in 2019, which is also available for corporate or private hire, providing an exception venue for various events and gatherings.

While we’re open to the public for general enquiries and donation drop offs between 11:00am and 2:00pm, we also offer private appointments and paddock hire between 10:30am and 3:30am, by prearrangement only.

Emergency Boarding

Many people don’t think about emergency dog boarding, until they need it. When faced with stressful situations, the additional burden of finding a trustworthy caretaker for your beloved dog can be overwhelming. Unexpected hospital stays, family crises, and even housing issues never happen in advance, and they often strike at the worst possible times.

Whilst we do not have the resources to offer emergency boarding as a mainstream service, we always strive to provide support in desperate situations. We encourage you to contact the South Lincolnshire Centre (if this is closest to you) directly to discuss your circumstances. Our dedicated teams will assess each case individually and do their utmost to assist you.

Can I view the dogs at the South Lincolnshire dog rescue centre?

You cannot walk around the kennels at the South Lincolnshire Centre. Research has shown that an open kennel environment is too stressful for the dogs. Instead, we use our Meet&Match® process, which means visits to see the dogs are by appointment only and tailored to match you with a suitable dog.

If you’re interested in adopting a dog, please view our dogs online or contact the centre to arrange an appointment. If you’d like to book a paddock session or arrange a boarding kennels viewing, you can also do this by contacting the South Lincolnshire centre.

Can I bring donations to the South Lincolnshire dog rescue centre?

Yes, you can bring donations to the South Lincolnshire Centre. We are always grateful for support! If you’d like to donate directly to the dogs, we especially appreciate items like:

Hotdogs
Squeezy cheese (Primula)
Natural dog chews
Meaty dog treats
Training treats
Puppy pads
Toys
Tinned sardines, pilchards, or tuna (in spring water if possible)

If you’re meeting a dog at the South Lincolnshire Centre, you usually cannot take them home the same day. We use a Meet&Match® process to ensure the best fit for both you and the dog. This process involves appointments and careful matching, and there are steps to complete before adoption, such as signing an adoption contract, transferring the microchip, and paying the adoption fee.

Our team will guide you through each step, and once everything is in place and everyone agrees, you’ll be able to take your new companion home. This is to make sure both you and the dog are fully prepared for a successful start together.
