You may remember the story of Blossom – a young, heavily pregnant Staffordshire Bull Terrier who came to Jerry Green Dog Rescue after being found as a stray.
Blossom spent her days on the streets, not knowing when her next meal would come. Her evenings were spent sleeping in cold doorways, always keeping one swollen eye open in case of danger.
Luckily, she arrived at Jerry Green Dog Rescue just in time to give birth to six tiny puppies.
In March, we asked you, our community of dog lovers, to raise £4,000 to give a dog like Blossom a Safe Second Chance.
Thanks to the incredible kindness and generosity of our supporters that gave money to support rescue dogs in need, over £11,000 was raised – far exceeding the target – giving more dogs like Blossom the safety and expert care they desperately need whilst they wait for their forever homes.
