Jerry Green Dog Rescue – TCS London Marathon 2027 Terms & Conditions 

Event Date: Sunday 25 April 2027 

Thank you for joining Team Jerry Green! Every mile you run will help us change the lives of rescue dogs. By joining the team for London Marathon 2027 through one of our charity places, you agree to the terms outlined below. 

General Terms  

By accepting these terms, you agree to participate in the TCS London Marathon 2027 to raise funds in aid of Jerry Green Dog Rescue. 

  1. To secure your place, you must register and pay a £100 non-refundable fee via the link provided on email by Jerry Green Dog Rescue. Once payment is received, you will be sent a separate email from London Marathon Events containing your official registration information. You must complete this official event registration by 29th August to confirm your participation. Please note, Jerry Green Dog Rescue cannot be held responsible for any loss of place resulting from failure to complete the registration process. 
  2. If you need to withdraw for any reason, please notify fundraising@jerrygreendogs.org.uk in writing. Any sponsorship already raised will be retained by Jerry Green Dog Rescue unless a donor specifically requests a refund in writing within one month of cancellation.  
  3. If you wish to defer your charity place, you must contact us in writing before 5 January 2027. A £50 deferral fee will be required, and the deferral is only possible if you have already met agreed fundraising milestones. Deferrals are limited to one year and are subject to availability. Charity place deferrals are at the charity’s discretion and not guaranteed 
  4. We strongly recommend that you train appropriately and consult your GP before beginning any new exercise programme, especially if you have any pre-existing conditions. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure they are medically fit, properly trained, and suitable to take on the challenge of completing a marathon. 
  5. London Marathon Events is responsible for the organisation and safety of the race. Jerry Green Dog Rescue cannot accept liability for injury, loss or damage. 
  6. The sale or transfer of race numbers is strictly prohibited and could result in disqualification. 
  7. You must be 18 years old or over on race day (25 April 2027). 
  8. You agree to participate on foot, without the use of any wheeled device unless permitted by the organiser. 
  9. Participants must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol on race day. 
  10. You are responsible for providing your own running gear and equipment. 
  11. By participating, you consent to Jerry Green Dog Rescue using any photos, videos, or comments of you in promotional materials, including online, social media, and charity publications. If you wish to opt out, please notify us at fundraising@jerrygreendogs.org.uk before the event. Once published, we may not be able to withdraw all materials. 
  12. You agree to act as a positive ambassador for Jerry Green Dog Rescue, uphold our values, and not bring the charity into disrepute. We reserve the right to revoke your authority to represent us if necessary. 

 Fundraising  

  1. Jerry Green Dog Rescue charity places will be allocated between May – June 2026, with any waitlist places confirmed by the end of September 2026. If successful, you will be required to:
    1. Pay a £100 registration fee within 7 working days of your confirmation email. 
    2. Commit to raising a minimum of £2,000 (excluding Gift Aid and registration fee). 
  2. Fundraising advisory milestones are:
    1. £500 by 31 January 2027
    2. £1,000 by 1 April 2027
    3. £2,000 by 21 May 2027
  3. If you fail to complete your official London Marathon registration by the required deadline, or if your entry is later withdrawn, cancelled, or deemed invalid for any reason (e.g. non-payment, injury, defer or failure to meet event requirements), your authority to fundraise in aid of Jerry Green Dog Rescue will be revoked, and your place may be reallocated. 
  4. All funds raised must go directly to Jerry Green Dog Rescue and may not be split with any other charity. 
  5. Approximately £330 of the funds you raise will be used to cover the cost of your place. The remainder will directly support our mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs in need. 
  6. The registration fee is non-refundable, unless you provide evidence of securing a place through the London Marathon ballot. For all other circumstances, the registration is non-refundable, including your withdrawal, event cancellation, or any unforeseen changes. If a donor requests a refund, the request must be made in writing to fundraising@jerrygreendogs.org.uk within one month of your withdrawal. 
  7. If it becomes clear that the minimum fundraising target will not be met, or if a genuine effort is not being made, Jerry Green Dog Rescue reserves the right to withdraw your place. 
  8. Deferral of charity places is not guaranteed and will only be considered if you have met your fundraising milestones before making the request. 

Data Protection

  • We collect and store your personal data (name, email, phone number, gender, address) to administer your participation and provide support. 
  • Your data will be shared with London Marathon Events for the purpose of registering your place and assigning your race number.
