Calverton Charity Shop

Our brand new Calverton Charity Shop is the latest store in our growing network of charity shops having opened in June 2026. The shop is run by our Calverton Shop Manager and Supervisor and supported by a team of fantastic volunteers.

The Calverton team are always grateful for donations of ladies’, gents’ and children’s clothing, books, CDs, household linens, bric-a-brac and toys. So if you’d like to donate, please drop off your items at the shop or at your local centre, thank you!

You can boost any donation by 25% with Gift Aid.

Gift Aid is a government initiative where for every £1 we generate in sales in our shops, Jerry Green Dog Rescue can claim an extra 25p from HMRC at no extra cost to the customer.

When you drop off donations, let us know you would like to participate. We just need a quick minute to set this up and it really helps your generous donations go even further.

FAQs

What type of donations do you accept for your shops?

We are always very grateful for donations of:

Ladies, gents & children’s clothing
Shoes & handbags
Books
CDs/DVDs/Records
Household items
Bric-a-brac
Toys & games
Small electrical items

Don’t forget to gift aid your donations. We can claim an extra 25p on each £1 we make when we sell your donated goods. You can sign up in any of our shops, please just ask one of our lovely team members or volunteers.

What type of donations can't you accept?

Unfortunately, there are some donations we can’t accept which include the following:

TV’s without scart sockets or remote controls
Any item not complying with current trading standards
Used roller skates & skateboards
Used children’s car seats
Used cycle/crash helmets
Soft toys without a CE mark
Pillows
Ivory & bone goods
Replica guns & knives
Any items not of a saleable quality

Sadly, it costs us to dispose of non-recyclable and non-saleable items. Please help us by disposing of these items at your local Household Waste Recycling Centre. Thank you for your understanding.

Will you pay me for donations?

We’re unable to offer payment for donated items. As a charity, we rely on the generosity of supporters who choose to give items to help fund our work.

If you’re looking to sell your items instead, you might consider using platforms like eBay. You can still support us by choosing to donate a portion of your sale proceeds to our charity through eBay’s charitable giving option, so your items can make a difference either way.

Do you stock Jerry Green Dog Rescue merchandise in your shops?

Yes! As well as donated goods, we also stock a range of new goods and giftware including our own Jerry Green Dog Rescue merchandise and dog accessories.

Do you sell online?

No, we don’t currently sell online.

Can I make a financial donation in your shops?

Yes! All of our shops have collection tins available should you wish to make a financial donation. Thank you for your generosity. Alternatively, you can call us on 01652 657820 to make this donation over the phone, or donate online here.
