About me
Meet Spencer 🐾
Hello, I’m Spencer! I’m a lovely young Jack Russell cross, around two years old, and I have a very sweet and gentle nature.
I’ve had quite a sheltered start to life, so the big wide world can feel a little overwhelming sometimes. New people, new places and unfamiliar experiences can make me nervous. I’m learning all the time, though, and I’m looking for someone who understands that confidence doesn’t happen overnight. I need a patient adopter who will let me go at my own pace, gently introducing me to new experiences without asking too much of me too soon.
Once I feel safe and comfortable, I’m a really lovely boy. I enjoy going for walks, although I’m still building my confidence when I’m out and about. I would be happiest living somewhere quiet and peaceful, ideally in a rural or semi-rural location away from the hustle and bustle of busy towns. My walks will need to be in quiet areas where I can enjoy exploring without being overwhelmed by lots of traffic, people or other distractions. A secure, decent-sized garden would also be wonderful for me, giving me somewhere safe to explore and enjoy while I continue to gain confidence.
I have lived with other dogs before, but I can take a little time to warm up to new friends. I may be able to share my new home with another dog if we get along during careful introductions. My ideal canine companion would be a similar size to me and have a calm, confident nature who can help show me that the world isn’t such a scary place.
I can’t live with cats or small furries, and I’d be happiest living with children aged 14 or over.
My dream home would be calm and quiet, without lots of visitors coming and going. I’m looking for someone who will be patient with me, respect my boundaries and celebrate the little steps as I grow in confidence.
I may need a little extra time and understanding at the beginning, but if you’re willing to let me find my paws at my own pace, I could become a very special companion. ❤️
