About me

Hi everyone, I’m Penny the wiggle bum! I’m a gorgeous 3 year old working line Cocker Spaniel, weighing around 9kg, and I’m a very happy little girl. My bum is permanently on the go and my tail seems to have a mind of its own 🥰

I’ve grown up in a family home and I’m now looking for someone special to start my next chapter with. I’m housetrained and I absolutely love having my people around me. I’m very used to having company and haven’t been left on my own for a very long time, so I’m looking for a home where someone can spend lots of time with me and where we can gradually work on me being comfortable if I do need to be left.

Life with me is definitely never boring. I’m a busy bee and, being from working lines, I like to know what is going on and be involved in everything! I’m always whizzing about, exploring and looking for something interesting to do. I love my toys and I have a particular fondness for socks, which I think are much more exciting when I can parade them around the house. I’m also very motivated by treats and toys, so I’m lots of fun to train and keep busy – don’t forget to watch my sock video!

Once I’ve had enough excitement, I do love a good cuddle. I’m very affectionate with my people and I’m use to sleeping on the bed at night, so I’m hoping my new family won’t mind sharing their duvet with me!

I will also need a decent sized garden like I’m used to having. It will need to be securely enclosed with solid fencing, as I’m only a little girl and can be surprisingly good at finding my way through small gaps!

I’ve grown up around children of different ages and could live with children over 8 years old, although we can be flexible for the right home. I’ve also lived happily with cats and I’ve been known to enjoy a good kitten cuddle, so having a cat in my new home could be a possibility too. If you do have a cat, you would need to live within a 60 minute drive of the centre at PE20 2BB so that we can make sure introductions are done.

I’m happy being the only dog in my new home. I have lived with a small breed dog before, but I’m not particularly interested in other dogs and would much rather spend my time with people. I’m quite happy walking past dogs on the other side of the road and carrying on with my day.

I’m also a good traveller and am happy in the car. One of my favourite things is being brushed. I absolutely love it and it seems to send me into a little world of relaxation 🧘🏾

I do have luxating patellas in both of my knees, so I need sensible exercise and I’m not going to be the girl for high impact activities such as agility or canicross. I still need to keep my clever Cocker brain busy though, and things like scentwork, Hoopers, tracking and trick training could be lovely activities for us to enjoy together without putting unnecessary strain on my knees.

I’m looking for a home who understands what makes a working line breed tick and who will enjoy having a lively, affectionate little girl around. I have lots of love to give, I love being with my people and I’m ready to find a family who will let me be part of their everyday life.
