About me

Hi, I’m Milo! 🐾

I’m a one-year-old Beagle x working-line Cocker Spaniel, weighing around 15kg, so as you can probably imagine, I’m a fun, busy and adventurous young lad with plenty of personality! I’m also castrated and ready to find my forever home.

I’ve been very lucky to stay with my family while I wait for my new home, and I’ve been part of family life since I was a tiny puppy. I’m affectionate, social and absolutely love being around my people. I’m also a proper sofa-and-bed kind of boy! I currently have access to the sofa and beds and sleep on the end of my family’s bed at night, so my new home will need to be happy for me to continue enjoying these privileges. 🥰

I’m looking for an active, outdoorsy home where I can really make the most of being a young dog. I’ll need a minimum of two good one-hour walks every day, and I’d love a family who enjoys getting out and about.
I’m also a clever boy and I LOVE food, which makes me a great candidate for training. I’m very food motivated, enjoy playing with my ball and my family say I’m excellent off lead. I could be great fun for someone interested in dog sports, training classes and simply having a canine adventure buddy by their side!

Now, I will admit that I can be a little mischievous when I’m bored. If my needs aren’t met, I’ll happily find my own entertainment. This can involve stealing interesting things and running away with them, especially baby items! I’ve also been known to investigate tables and worktops after mealtimes, because my Beagle nose tells me there might be something delicious up there.

I’m housetrained and used to having a garden, I’m also a rather impressive jumper! I’ll therefore need a secure 6ft fence, with nothing nearby that I could use as a little launch pad.

I’ve grown up around children of all ages and have been a lovely family dog. I can live with children aged 8+, although we can be flexible for the right family.

I currently live with a Dachshund and we’re great friends. I’d potentially enjoy having another dog in my new home too, but I could also be happy as the only dog. If I do have a canine companion, I’d be best matched with a well-mannered adult dog who enjoys a little play and is happy to have a younger, playful chap like me around!

There’s even a cat in my current home. They’re an outdoor cat so another outdoor cat could potentially be considered. I do enjoy chasing things that run, though, so I’m not looking to live with rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens or other small furries.

When it comes to home life, I really do love company. I’m not used to being left regularly because I’ve always lived in a busy family home. I have occasionally been left for up to four hours after a good walk, but this has been very rare. I’d therefore suit someone who is around for most of the day, such as someone who works from home, with the flexibility to pop out for the odd shopping trip or cinema visit once I’m settled.

I’m used to travelling in the car when needed and have managed journeys of around an hour. One of my favourite places to visit is the beach, so hopefully there will be plenty more beach adventures in my future! 🌊

I’m a fun-loving, affectionate young dog with lots of energy, a busy brain and a cheeky streak. I’m looking for someone who will enjoy giving me an active lifestyle, continue my training and, most importantly, let me be part of the family.

If that sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you. ❤️
