Transport Driver Why we need you? To assist us in transporting our dogs, goods or equipment from one place to another. Primarily between our five centres based in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. This will free up our Dog Welfare Assistants and allow them to spend more time enriching the day-to-day lives of the dogs in our care. What skills and attributes do I need? You must have a valid full manual and clean driving licence. Have the ability to manage the dogs efficiently and effectively in an emergency. You will enjoy talking to people and building rapport. Be able to maintain confidentiality. Have a commitment to our core principles and procedures which will be explained. You will need to be fairly fit and have stamina, as some lifting may be required and journeys may be long. How much time do I need to commit? The journeys from centre to centre can be long so driving time may take from an hour if the journey is local, but can take most of the day. What support will I be given? You will go through a full induction to the role. You will go through a risk assessment to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. You will be trained in emergency procedures for moving the dogs. We will provide you with continuous support and guidance. What benefits can I expect? The opportunity to enhance your CV. The opportunity to develop, learn new skills or build on existing ones. The opportunity to meet new people. The satisfaction of knowing you are making a vital difference to the work of centres and ultimately to our dogs. How do I apply?
