You will be required to support the Fundraising and Enterprise team activities in terms of promotion, sponsorship and logistics and will develop strong media contacts to promote JGDR. Supporting marketing activity across the whole organisation, you will be required to work collaboratively across all areas of the charity to ensure consistency and quality in communications and marketing in support of the brand and to facilitate increased awareness of Jerry Green Dog Rescue and income generation through Fundraising, Enterprise and Retail activity. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Work as directed by the Marketing Co-ordinator/Head of Income Generation in the implementation of the communication strategy of Jerry Green Dog Rescue. Deliver the online Fundraising strategy of Jerry Green Dog Rescue, with the support of, and as directed by, the Fundraising Manager. To develop and maintain strong relationship with all interested parties. Design and deliver a range of reactive and strategically planned marketing and communications content in print, media, and online in order to showcase Jerry Green Dog Rescue and the work it does. To include, but not limited to, press releases, newsletters, email, news and thought pieces, case studies, publications, presentations and videos. Collaborate with team members across all departments through regular content reviews to create dynamic, engaging content and schedule promotional activity for Jerry Green Dog Rescue social media pages. Support campaigns and appeals and deliver successful outcomes. Work with the Fundraising team to drive and share engaging and emotive fundraising appeals. Actively champion our key income generation products. Be able to analyse and create reports from our online platforms. Contribute to the content calendar and support the monitoring of social media accounts, monitoring engagement levels and providing feedback to commentators as required. Edit, proof read, and repurpose content as directed to ensure that it is accurate, compelling and brand-focused. Promote JGDR activities on external websites and build links to the charity’s web site. Provide support prior to and during major events. Analyse all marketing and communications activity such as social media engagement, website analytics, email delivery click through rates, and opt-ins. The post holder is also: o Required to abide by the Health and Safety policies. o Required to attend mandatory training annually. o Required to respect confidentiality applying to all Jerry Green Dog areas. o Required to participate in and contribute to team meetings. o Required to co-operate and liaise with departmental colleagues. o Expected to support and encourage harmonious internal and external working relationships. The principle roles and responsibilities will change from time to time and the post holder is required to undertake any additional duties as deemed appropriate. It is expected that his post will develop through time and that the post-holder is expected to be proactive in pursuing these changes. Person Specification Qualifications/Training/Education Working towards A level qualifications or equivalent. Professional qualifications (certificate/diploma) - desirable Key Skills - Extremely proficient in all social media channels. Including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram & Twitter. - Exceptional writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills. - Interest in videography, photography and graphic design experience. Experience with basic design and video editing would be highly advantageous. - Interest in learning about Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and web content management software comparable products. - Interest in learning to prepare and distribute engaging content and marketing material. - Excellent planning and organising skills, including the ability to manage and/or support several activities simultaneously. - Information technology skills including social media platforms, e-mail marketing, web site content management, Google Analytics. - Developing and understanding digital marketing techniques. - Understanding/appreciation of donors and the donor journey. - Building Profile & Reputation. - Excellent communication skills. - Able to prioritise, plan, review and evaluate own work. - Effectively use IT applications appropriate to the role. - Can effectively use digital technology and social media and understands its potential to generate support. - Maintains accurate information. - interested in Marketing and Communications planning.
