Site Support Volunteer Why we need you? To assist us with essential site-based tasks of the Charity, such as making our site look good in order to improve and enhance the surroundings for everyone who visits us. Undertaking our essential work such as laundry or ground maintenance is critical. What skills and attributes do I need? An interest in gardening. Possess some DIY skills. Be able to do some general tidying, cleaning, or to process the laundry. To be honest, reliable and punctual. Have the ability to be polite and courteous at all times. Ideally you will be able to work alone, or as a member of a team. You must be able to maintain confidentiality. Have a commitment to our core principles and procedures which will be explained. You will need to be fairly active as some lifting and bending will be required. Some of our sites are not on a public transport network, so you may need to have your own transport. Please check with your local centre if this could be an issue for you. How much time do I need to commit? Any time you can commit is valuable to us and would be a huge help. What support will I be given? You will go through a full induction to the role. You will go through a risk assessment to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
