Peppa was a gorgeous, 4-year-old, Border Collie who found herself in the care of our South Lincolnshire team due to no fault of her own.

From the very start Peppa settled wonderfully well in the kennel environment and loved showering the team with affection every time they came to see her. Her favourite things were tennis balls so she always made sure she had one on hand to offer you!

She was simply a very sweet and kind girl who enjoyed the company of other dogs and people – all she asked for in return was a cuddle and a game of fetch!

Once she had completed her assessment and had her vet consultation, she was placed up for rehoming and after only 11 days in our care, Peppa found herself a new home where she is now loving her new life.

Her new family say: “Peppa has settled remarkably well. We’ve not had a single issue to worry about. We are getting lots of exercise in 2 of the parks nearby. She has learned very quickly that a short car ride means lots of play, so she’s keen to jump into the back and get strapped in! She even likes to look out of the window!

“During her trips to the park she has met a few other dogs and has reacted well. We’ve found she enjoys being off her lead and her recall is good, she will go ahead about 10 to 15 yards and look back to make sure we’re coming along too, and returns straight away when called.

“She also gets on really well with other people and loves the attention they give her. She is very gentle with my 4-year-old granddaughter and they love playing ball together.

“Peppa is an absolute treasure and I can't believe my luck in finding her, thank you all.”

We want to be there for all the dogs like Peppa that need our help for many more years to come. If you could help us to do this, we, and all of our Jerry Green dogs, would be so grateful. You can simply TEXT JERRY to 70201 to donate £1 towards our vital work, or perhaps consider sponsoring a kennel at your local centre for just £1 per week. Thank you.
