Peggy When beautiful little Peggy was born, it became apparent that she had a deformity in her back leg, at just under eight weeks old she was taken to the vets by the breeder and it was determined that Peggy would need to have her leg amputated as there was no hope to correct her deformity. Upon hearing this the breeder decided they did not want Peggy back and left her at the vets! The vets simply could not put an otherwise healthy and happy pup to sleep, so they gave her the treatment that she needed, and contacted the Jerry Green Dog Rescue team at South Lincolnshire. The team were more than happy to take Peggy on and find her the happy, forever home she deserved and couldn’t believe that anyone would abandon her! When we met Peggy it was clear that she was an absolute sweetheart, and only having three legs didn’t bother her one jot! The gorgeous little pup found her perfect home in no time and is now having no trouble keeping up with the resident Bulldogs, her new big brother and sister! Peggy is almost one-year-old now and has grown up into a spirited, clever, funny little lady with a huge personality and she is absolutely doted on by her forever family! We couldn’t be happier for our little Peggy! We want to be there for all the dogs like Peggy that need our help for many more years to come. If you could help us to do this, we, and all of our Jerry Green dogs, would be so grateful. You can simply TEXT JERRY to 70201 to donate £1 towards our vital work, or perhaps consider sponsoring a kennel at your local centre for just £1 per week. Thank you.
