Nottinghamshire Centre Trainer

What do my team appreciate about me?

Prior to joining Jerry Green, I spent 7 years working at Guide Dogs as a Guide Dog Trainer. This involved training the dogs in every aspect of the guiding role and working with visually impaired clients. This has given me plenty of experience working with both people and dogs, which I now bring to my role at Jerry Green. I am open-minded and approachable, always ready to continue learning alongside my colleagues and willing to get stuck in to any aspect of daily life at Jerry Green. In addition, I have attended a variety of conferences and seminars to refresh and add to my knowledge base and ensure I remain up to date with the latest thinking.

What’s important to me about my role at Jerry Green Dog Rescue?

I am passionate about dog welfare and ensuring every dog has the best opportunity to live a happy life with people. I also hope to help dog owners out in the community get the best out of their canine companion to ensure as few dogs as possible need to enter the rescue environment.

What are my goals for the charity?

To ensure every dog has the best possible chance to find a happy home in which their needs will be met. To work within the community to reduce the number of dogs finding themselves homeless for behavioural reasons. To campaign for legislation that better protects companion animals from abuse, neglect or poor breeding practices.
