Nottinghamshire Centre Enterprise Trainer

What do my team appreciate about me?

Prior to joining Jerry Green, I spent 8 years working as a Guide Dog Trainer, preparing the dog for life as a working guide dog. This has given me plenty of experience working with both people and dogs.

I am friendly and approachable and I like to help people to understand their dog and its behaviour. I use modern, reward-based training methods - training should be fun for both the dog and its owner!

I continue to attend a variety of conferences and seminars to refresh and add to my knowledge and to ensure I remain up to date with the latest thinking. The field of dog training and behaviour is constantly moving forward and it’s important to keep up!

What’s important to me about my role at Jerry Green Dog Rescue?

As an Enterprise Trainer, I have the exciting opportunity to help owners and their dogs live happily together and get the most out of their partnership. Many dogs are surrendered to rescue due to behavioural issues and so I hope my work in the community will ensure as few dogs as possible need enter the rescue environment.

What are my goals for the charity?

To ensure every dog has the best possible chance to live in a happy home in which its needs, and those of its owners, will be fulfilled to the fullest extent achievable.

To work within the community providing practical support and advice to reduce the number of dogs finding themselves made homeless for behavioural reasons.

To campaign for improved legislation that better protects companion animals from abuse, neglect or poor breeding practices and to promote good welfare practice.

What training do I provide?

I provide 1-2-1 training and group classes as well as puppy classes, advanced puppy classes, capable canine classes and meet and greets. Please contact me to talk about your training needs, class availability and pricing.
