Toffee came into rescue in an emergency situation where, sadly, his owner was struggling financially to the point of not having any heating in the home and not being able to afford food for Toffee.

Toffee was one of the first dogs to benefit from our chalet area, designed for the dogs who come into our care who don’t cope well in a general kennel environment. Toffee struggled being on his own and found kennel life difficult but when he moved into the chalet he had all the home comforts he’d missed- a warm and comfy sofa to snuggle up on, access to his own garden to play and run in and a quiet place to rest his head.

Being happier in himself allowed the Centre Trainer and dog welfare team to start Toffee’s training to build his confidence with new people, at the vets and when he spent time on his own.

Toffee is now in a loving home, is meeting new friends and going on adventures beyond his wildest dreams.
