eBay Lister & Packer Why we need you Based at our Scunthorpe retail store - North Lincolnshire, you would be volunteering alongside our Retail Manager undertaking a vital and exciting opportunity. We need a volunteer who has a passion for selling online products and has a keen eye for all things unique! Would you enjoy researching an item’s value online or in catalogues, in order to make sure we achieve the best possible price for it? If so, this could be the perfect volunteer role for you! Our volunteers come from a diverse range of backgrounds and bring a wide variety of skills to the organisation. They come together to generate vital funds, that enables us to continue our work in finding forever homes for the dogs in our care. What skills and attributes do I need? You must be computer literate and have a good working knowledge of the internet A keen eye for detail and an interest in antiques, collectables or unusual items An awareness and the experience of using eBay The ability to accurately describe items for sale An interest in taking good quality photos To be an excellent communicator and know how to provide a good quality service to customers To be reliable, approachable and friendly A willingness and ability to undertake tasks set for you The skill to get along with people and work as part of a team You must be able to maintain confidentiality Have a commitment to our core principles and procedures How much time do I need to commit? Any time you can commit is valuable to us. However, we would generally ask for a commitment of at least one morning/afternoon Monday to Friday, between 8.30am and 5.00pm. What support will I be given? You will go through a full induction to the role You will go through a risk assessment to ensure a safe and healthy working environment You will be trained in every aspect of your role, including our equality and diversity policies We will provide you with continuous support and guidance in order that you feel confident in the role.
