Unfortunately, Benji didn’t have the best start in life and found the world a scary and unfamiliar place. We were willing to wait for the right home to come along for Benji, as we knew he would need a patient and understanding owner to give him the reassurance and time that he would need to settle. Luckily, that owner came along and Benji has never looked back!

Tara Spencer, Benji’s new owner said: “Benji was a bag of nerves when he arrived at our home, he was scared of everything from the TV to the door opening and he still needs reassurance sometimes to know he is safe. Benji now lives with three other dogs and his best friend is our Jack Russell called Wilfred. They sleep, eat and cause mischief together and are completely inseparable!

“He enjoys his outings and he loves long woodland walks. He was even able to enjoy a hotel stay at the seaside, a massive achievement for Benji given his nervousness, and he loved every minute. Benji has completely fallen on his feet, he brings us so much laughter and enjoyment, even when he sneaks on the bed and takes up all the room! We would not give him up for the world.”

We want to be there for all the dogs like Benji that need our help for many more years to come. If you could help us to do this, we, and all of our Jerry Green dogs, would be so grateful. You can simply TEXT JERRY to 70201 to donate £1 towards our vital work, or perhaps consider sponsoring a kennel at your local centre for just £1 per week. Thank you.
