Anne's Story Anne says: “Volunteering makes me happy. I love spending time with the doggies and enjoy getting to know them and to be part of their journey from the start, witnessing their little characters develop and seeing them respond to love, patience, understanding and training during their stay with us. Being part of the story It’s wonderful to see the continuation of their stories after they go to their forever homes, seeing them happy and loved and spoilt rotten, just as it should be. I also really enjoy the camaraderie of the team and helping with the work that goes on behind the scenes, such as fundraising (and friend raising). A trip out to the local coffee shop with a fellow volunteer and one of our doggies is always a joy” Help to continue the charity's work Helping out at events means that Anne not only helps raise much needed funds so our work can continue, but she and her fellow volunteers act as ambassadors for the charity. Making an excellent impression on the general public helps tremendously in promoting our rescue work and allows us to reflect to the outside world the wonderful work that goes on inside a rescue and re homing centre. We love that volunteering makes Anne happy! She is an amazing member of our volunteer team. You can find more information on volunteering with Jerry Green Dog Rescue here.
