Following the successful opening of our first ever charity shop in Scunthorpe, we've opened our second retail venture in Brigg.

Andrea Beer, Head of Income Generation, said: “The opening of our charity shops is a first for Jerry Green Dog Rescue and we could not be happier with how they’ve been received by the public. We’ve had an overwhelming amount of support and so many generous donations – we would like to say a huge thank you to all of our supporters as without you this wouldn’t have been possible.”

Both our Ashby and Brigg store are not only a bargain hunters dream but are information hubs for our rescue centres.

Andrea continues: “In store you will be able to find out more information about the services we offer and the dogs we have available. There will also be information on how you can get involved with volunteering and what events we have on – to find out more about what we’re up to why not pop in store and speak to one of our lovely volunteers?!”

The Brigg store is set to open today (Friday 29 November 2019) at 12pm till late for the Brigg Christmas light switch on. We'll be joined by long-serving volunteer Ralph and charity ‘Ambassadog’ Rookie. Ralph has volunteered for Jerry Green’s for over 40 years and has raised thousands for the charity with his large Newfoundland dogs, so we're really honored to have him and the gorgeous Rookie there to launch our new endeavour.

If you have some items you would like to donate for the charity to sell in store – you are able to do so by dropping off your donations at our North Lincolnshire centre in Broughton (DN20 0BJ) or at either of the shops. We’re in need of ladies', gents' and children’s clothing, books, CDs, household linens, bric-a-brac and toys with a CE mark in good clean condition.

All of the profits made from the charity shops sales will go towards helping the dogs in our care find safe and loving homes.
