Every day, hundreds of lives are changed at each of our Centres, thanks to the gifts our supporters have left us in their Will, after having providing for their loved ones. Helping us rescue and rehome dogs who come to us through no fault of their own, as part of remembering that special friend who made a difference in your life, helps us continue into the future. 7 out of 20 dogs in our care at each of our Rescue Centres is funded by a gift left to us in a Will.

As a family based charity, with family roots, we know how important it is that family comes first for so many of our supporters. Make sure your loved ones have been provided for is the key imperative of making a will; but if you feel you could consider leaving us a share of what is left after that, just 1% of what’s left could make a real difference in the years to come to the dogs we hope to help in the future.

Leaving such a gift to your favourite causes makes all the difference in the world – for those who thought of us at the time they made a will to look after their family, we are grateful everyday – sometimes we don’t even get the chance to say thank you for the gift that makes such a difference to the dogs in our care today.

For the legacies of our future we are careful not to make any assumption about who might leave us a gift and remember us in their will; we don’t make decisions on behalf of you, our supporters, but we do want to open up the conversation about legacy giving and allowing them to make a decision that is right for them.

We treat every dog as an individual. We’re aiming to do the same for the people who love what we do for the dogs in our care by treating our supporters as the individuals they are - we know that not that everyone has the same propensity to leave a legacy –  but if you feel you have a personal connection to our cause – and feel really passionately about what we do and why – then you might want to find out more about how remembering us now could lead to having a lifelong relationship of making a difference.

We know that sometimes when we talk about legacies we end up talking about the mechanics of Will making or even death or dying so instead we’re opening the conversation through a series of events to share the benefits of Free Wills Month in March and Will Aid 2018 in November 2018. If you would like to join us just enter your email in the form below and we'll get in touch to send you a reminder nearer the time.

Both campaigns are campaigns which offers advice to people thinking about Making A Will: in March, Free Wills Week offers people aged 55 and over the opportunity to have a simple will written or updated free of charge by one of the participating solicitors. At both these our local Solicitors have joined us to talk about the basics of Wills and you can get objective advice that can ensure your wishes are carried out as you choose. You will also get to meet some of our dogs and have a few delicious nibbles too as well have the chance to book a short tour round the Centre at a later date convenient to you so you can see what we do, how we do it and why,. You’ll hear from our Centre Manager about their Vision for the future of your local Centre and what you can help us to achieve.
