Looking for an excuse to get out and about this Summer? Well we have the perfect one for you! Join in our #ActivePaws virtual race this June, get active and raise money and awareness for our Jerry Green doggos. What could be better?!

In 2018, we successfully rehomed 792 dogs across our five rescue centres, and the average stay in rescue was 30 days. To celebrate this we are asking our supporters to complete 792 minutes of activity in the thirty days of June. That breaks down to around 26 manageable minutes a day. How you choose to complete your minutes is up to you! You can walk, run, kickbox, pogo stick, swim, the options truly are endless. Challenge yourself as much (or as little!) as you like! Get the kids, colleagues, friends and, of course, your own four legged friends involved and lets make this event as fun and successful as we can!

To launch this challenge we have teamed up with the fantastic Curlys Athletes, creators of the Normanby Adventure Race, Doncaster Half Marathon, Yorkshire Wildlife Park's Run for Wildlife and many other great events. They have incredibly kindly set up the online platform that the virtual race is built around, for free, so you can rest assured any sponsorship you raise will go directly towards the care of those wonderful Jerry Green dogs.

Join the event here, and you will have access to an awesome online community where you can log your minutes and keep up with everyone else's activity. You can choose to add a medal or t-shirt to commemorate your achievement should you wish, and 20% of this purchase price will be donated directly to Jerry Green Dog Rescue. There is the option for group entry, so why not sign up as a group with your workmates, classmates or friends and complete the challenge together!

Entry to the race itself is completely free, but we would love it if you used this opportunity to raise sponsorship from friends and family, to enable us to rehome thousands more dogs, many, many years into the future. Set up your own JustGiving page here or download a paper sponsorship form here and lets see those #activepaws!
