We always search for that perfect forever home for our rescue dogs, even when forever may not be that long.

We currently have a little terrier who, although it’s her name, we count ourselves as ‘Lucky’ to be able to spend time with this little pocket rocket. Lucky is one happy, loving lady. At 10 you would have thought she may be starting to calm down but this girl is loving life right now!

Unfortunately Lucky’s forever may not be that long, she came into us with an undiagnosed lump on her head which sadly, after ongoing support from our vets has been diagnosed as Cancer. There is no cure for Lucky’s condition but due to her happy nature and the fact that she is not in pain,  we have made the decision to go ahead and find that perfect companion for this special lady so that she can experience the love and care she deserves until the time comes for her goodbye.

We accept this is a big ask and when you take Lucky on you will not be promised years but you will be promised smiles, because it is impossible not to around her.

Lucky will need to be in home that eventually can help her with medical care and this may mean trips to the vets. If you have what it takes to take on a dog like Lucky we would love to hear from you so that we can talk to you about her needs, what support we can offer and the type of home that would be best for her. Please call our dedicated team at our North Yorkshire centre on 01845 567456.

If you can’t help with offering Lucky a home then we urge you to share her appeal, so that we can find a home for her for her end of life care as quickly as possible, that way she can share in good times.
