Barley's Broken Heart This Valentine’s Day can you help us heal this young boy’s broken heart? Meet Barley. Barley is a beautiful, eight-month old Border Terrier, who should be looking forward to a long and happy life. Barley came into Jerry Green Dog Rescue through no fault of his own, and during a routine health check by our vets, it was discovered he had a significant heart murmur. We immediately sent him to a specialist for further investigation and it emerged that the left side of Barley’s heart is stretched to the size of a dog five times his weight, putting it under enormous pressure. Without vital surgical intervention, Barley’s future is in doubt, and the prospect of imminent heart failure puts his life expectancy at less than two years. No life for such a bright and bouncing pup! If Barley’s surgery is successful, he will be able to live a long and happy life, without further intervention. This does come at a huge financial cost of £3,000, and we desperately need your help to be able to provide this for him. Please dig deep and give this pup the life he deserves, what is a few pounds to fix a broken heart? Should we surpass the £3000 required for Barley's life-saving surgery, any extra funds raised will go towards the veterinary care of other Jerry Green dogs. Thank you.
