Guidelines

  • Entries should follow the exhibition themes of The 1960’s / Four-Legged Friends / In the Country.
  • To submit your piece of work for the exhibition carries no charge. Entrance to the exhibition is free for all members of the public.
  • The exhibition is open to all 2 and 3-dimensional artists.
  • Art work must be submitted and available for pick-up/delivery by 30thJuly 2021. Pick-up/Delivery should only take place on weekdays in-between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
  • Photography & Digital Arts can be included alongside art made by hand but video is excluded.
  • Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome.
  • The exhibition will take place at ‘The Buttercross’ in Brigg, North Lincolnshire from 5thAugust 2021 – 7th August 2021 and we encourage you, your friends and family to visit.
  • Entries must not be, or contain anything that is illegal, offensive, abusive, defamatory or explicit.
  • Entries must not include images of dogs to be used in activities that put their welfare, or the welfare of other animals, at risk. (This includes, but not exclusively, racing, fighting, hunting, shooting, circuses or other forms of public entertainment that involves unnatural dog behaviour) / Shows tail docking / Shows the breeding of dogs with known genetic deformities / Shows formal dog shows that involve breeds with known genetic deformities / Organisations or individuals who compromise the welfare of animals.
  • Entrants may submit a piece of art to the exhibition not valid for auction. To do so, we (Jerry Green Dog Rescue) suggest a donation of £30 towards our mission and charitable purpose.
  • Artwork valid for auction, will be submitted for online auction running the 5thto the 8th 

Terms and Conditions

  1. PROMOTER: This Exhibition/Auction is operated by Jerry Green Dog Rescue. Jerry Green Dog Rescue is a registered charity 1155042. Registered with: North Lincolnshire Council, Licensing Department, PO Box 42, Church Square House, Scunthorpe, DN15 6XQ. References to “we”, “us” or “our” in these terms and conditions are references to the promoter.

 

  1. CLOSING DATE: Entry to the exhibition/auction closes 30th July 2021 at 17:00. Any entries made after the closing date and time will not be valid and will not be entered into this auction.

 

  1. ELIGIBILITY: This competition is open to people of all ages and backgrounds. By entering this auction, you confirm you are happy for your details to be used in accordance with our privacy policy. To read our privacy policy please visit jerrygreendogs.org.uk/privacy-policy

 

  1. HOW TO ENTER: To enter please fill in the registration page found here. Please consider our art exhibition guidelines and the themes for the exhibition: - 1960’s / Four-Legged Friends / In the Country. Participants will also be required to provide on the entry form their name, a valid Email address and a valid phone number when submitting their entry. Entries must be received by the closing date to be counted. Maximum of one entry per person. To submit your piece of work for the exhibition carries no charge. Entrance to the exhibition is free for all members of the public.

 

  1. DURING AND AFTER THE EXHIBITION: Jerry Green Dog Rescue will seek to raise charitable funds through the sale of this artwork through auction. It is possible to display your art without entry in to the auction. For this we suggest a donation of £30.00 towards charitable purposes.

 

  1. AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Entry to this auction shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the auction.

 

  1. QUALITY AND OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES: Entries must not be, or contain anything that is illegal, offensive, abusive, defamatory or explicit. By entering this auction, you confirm that the entry is your own, original, and you confirm that your submission of the entry does not and will not infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights. We do not claim any rights of ownership in your entry, but we may use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format your entry for charitable purposes. Following the art exhibition guidelines, the entry will not encompass any imagery that goes against Jerry Green Dog Rescue values.

 

  1. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ADMINISTER COMPETITION: We, Jerry Green Dog Rescue, may collect personal information in relation to this competition from you in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 and other applicable data privacy laws. Except as set out in clause 9 below, we will only use your information for the purposes of administering this competition.

 

  1. USE OF PERSONAL AND OTHER INFORMATION FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES: By entering this auction, you agree that we may use your entry, name, and any testimonial you have provided to us, for promotional purposes (including on our websites, social media, within our newsletters or within promotional emails). In particular, by entering this auction you confirm that you are happy for your design to be exhibited at ‘The Buttercross’ in Brigg, North Lincolnshire from 5th August 2021 – 7th August 2021 Please do not enter this auction if you do not want your information to be used in accordance with this clause.

 

  1. CANCELLATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF AUCTION/EXHIBITION: We reserve the right at our absolute discretion to withdraw or cancel this auction and/or exhibition without prior notice and without liability to any party if it becomes necessary to do so.

 

  1. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Revised terms and conditions will be available on our website. It is your responsibility to keep up to date with any such changes.
