Sammy's Happy Ending

07/07/2010 16:32 - East Yorkshire

In February 2009 we lost a very special friend Ruby, our Golden Retriever; it was a bad time for us and her sister Tessie, with difficult days for months. Angela at the centre knew Ruby well and was aware of our very sad loss. It was in October whilst out on a walk with Tessie, we received a telephone call from the Angela to say a puppy Golden had been handed in to the centre,  looking for a loving new home. We didn’t think we were ready, but we agreed to come and meet him. He was just beautiful, a cream bundle of fun, as soon as we met him we knew it was meant to be and we would soon be taking him home. It was incredibly hard to start with, still missing Ruby, and Tess wasn’t too keen on this lively young bundle of fun, but as time has gone along they have become really good friends, she is thirteen by the way, we All seem to have a new lease on life. He is very energetic and intelligent, he carries our bags of shopping from the car, and just about anything else he can get in his mouth. He is beautiful, full of joy and life and we love him to bits and his name is Sammy.
